Finding Balance: Strategies to Improve Well-being

Now, while in the third wave of the pandemic, fatigue has set in. Knowing that a year of our lives has passed, continued fear of the unknown, competing priorities and the desire to find some semblance of normalcy again. Well-being has become a topic of frequent discussion.
As healthcare leaders, leading by example is important. Consider sharing strategies with your staff that can be categorized into three areas:
1. Care for your Mind
Practice daily gratitude. This will help to ground you and focus on the opportunities that may exist and think about the large picture.
2. Care for your Body
Daily movement - workout or daily walks. Ensure that you are staying hydrated.
3. Care for your Emotions
Find and maintain connection online, over the phone or from a distance. Build in time for yourself - take frequent breaks, find time to have fun/relax and have a good laugh.
